Cherice is currently the Senior Public Relations & Communications Manager of Philadelphia Energy Solutions (PES), an oil refining company headquartered in Philadelphia, Pa.
In her role, she is responsible for Internal & External Communications, plus Community and Government Relations. Cherice is the Corporate Media Relations representative, and she oversees corporate philanthropy.
Cherice has extensive experience in the petrochemical and refining industry that spans 25 years. Before joining Philadelphia Energy Solutions in 2012, she worked for Sunoco, Inc. Under Sunoco’s ownership, she held numerous positions in Plant Protection, Human Relations and as the Public Affairs Representative supporting the needs of corporate and the Philadelphia Refinery.
In addition to her responsibilities as the editor and publisher of the company’s employee newsletter and outreach publication to the community, Cherice is also responsible for the corporation’s annual United Way Campaign, which has raised over one million dollars for local charities since PES took over the refinery in 2012.
Cherice has served on South and Southwest Philadelphia Community Advisory Panel (CAP) since 2002. The CAP was founded by Sunoco in 1996 as a forum to promote dialogue between residents and the refinery. It meets monthly with company and refinery officials. Cherice has been the facilitator and primary contact to the members of the CAP since 2009. In that capacity, she is responsible for the meeting agenda and assuring that all members are kept up to date on pertinent information about refinery operations and community impact issues.
As part of her duties representing the company in the Greater Philadelphia Region, Cherice serves on the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Fire Department Citizens for Fire Prevention Committee and the Philadelphia Chapter Advisory Board of the After School All-Stars. Also, she serves as the Co-Chair of the Local Legislative Committee for the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.
Cherice has served in leadership roles assisting many non-profit organizations with their Philanthropic outreach efforts. Among those are the American Heart Association, United Way, UNCF, and the World Trade Center. Cherice has been recognized for her leadership in the communities and has received awards for her efforts from Southwest Community Development Corporation, United Way, and South Philadelphia Business Association.
Cherice is married to Greg Corley. They have two children in college and one in high school.
