Angelique M. Hughes serves as the Operations Manager for After School All-Stars Philadelphia and Camden. She is a Houston, Texas native and an alumna of Sam Houston State University (SHSU) where she received a B.A. in Communications with a minor in English. During her time at SHSU, Angelique was a recipient of the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges award.
Angelique comes to After School All-Stars (ASAS) with over five years of professional experience in after school programming. Prior to joining ASAS, Angelique served as a 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) Grant Coordinator as well as a Texas Title 1 After School Coordinator in the Pasadena Independent School District. Angelique knows the importance of after school programming and how it can enhance the educational experiences of the youth. She has implemented high quality enrichment and academic after school programs for over 500 at-risk students during her career in Pasadena, Texas.
Along with her professional experience, Angelique is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated where she previously held the position of president during her undergraduate studies. Service is a top priority for Angelique and it is her hope that in the future after school programs will be implemented in every school across the United States of America and beyond.
