City of Brotherly Love Welcomes ASAS

AllStarMoment-Philadelphia1-300x217All-Star students teamed up with New York Life volunteers to create care packages and Valentine’s Day cards for homeless Philadelphians before heading to a VIP reception at Northern Liberties art gallery Bahdeebahdu. We were thrilled to welcome representatives for Senator Pat Toomey and State Representative Michelle Brownlee, and were honored by Deputy Mayor Rich Negrin’s presentation of a citation from Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter’s, which lauded the importance of ASAS’ arrival to the city. New York Life Foundation and ASAS leadership who is integral to ASAS’ expansion to Philadelphia were also in attendance, including Foundation president Heather Nesle and local ASAS board members Annie Duke and Rob Recine.

ASAS is grateful for the crucial support of all of these groups. Together, we can support our students in getting to and through high school, finding careers they love, and giving back to their community.
